Case Study 2 Banner

Background:
Client H is a waste oil management company. They provide hassle-free waste oil management solutions to all customers, diverse from all industrial sectors. The client used traditional marketing methods to collect waste oil. The waste oil specialists will knock door to door in industrial areas to ask for waste oil. We set up a website to collect waste oil in a less labour-intensive way. Search engine optimisation (SEO) is one of their marketing methods to outreach on a national level.

Solution:

Our SEO team identifies 4 main keywords to rank. They are ‘waste oil management, ‘waste oil collection singapore’, ‘waste oil collector’ and ‘oily waste’. They are targeted and will increase the probability of conversions.

After identifying the keywords, we did a content analysis to understand how we could rank on the first page for the chosen keywords. Our conclusion is to set up a waste oil collection page. To expand our reach and build site authority, we also started a blog to write topics relating to waste oil management.

A search on the chosen keywords on Google brings out the local search results. Thus, our team feels that the best way to be in the first position is to optimise the Google My Business profile. We started building local citations and ensured the correct NAP (Name, Address and Phone) were in the business directories we submitted. In addition, we updated our details for our GMB profile and included photos of the facilities.

The third critical factor for ranking our chosen keywords is on-page optimisation for the whole website and technical SEO. Our work includes updating the meta titles & descriptions, H1-H3 tags and image optimisations. For technical SEO, we updated the robots.txt file specifically for WordPress.

Result:
We achieve the first position for our chosen keywords, and it’s variations within 6 months with a conversion rate of 3%.
